  1      pound         Ground beef -- browned and drained
  1                     green pepper -- chopped
  1      can           tomato paste -- 6 ounce
  1      can           tomato sauce -- 8 ounce
  1      can           chopped tomato -- 14 ounce
  2      cloves         garlic -- pressed
                  oregano -- to taste
                  basil -- to taste
                  salt and pepper -- to taste
 
Brown and drain the ground beef.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 30 minutes.  Longer it simmers the more flavorful it will be.

NOTES : Can also add red and / or yellow peppers.
I use about 1 tablespoon of both the basil and oregano, a little less basil than oregano.
