MARYLAND CRAB SOUP

2 oz. salt pork 2 qts. water
1 beef soup bone 3 cans whole tomatoes, crushed
2 c. diced carrots (no can size is specified, I used
1 1/2 c. chopped celery the "regular" size)
2 c. diced potatoes 2 c. chopped onion
2 T. Old Bay 1/4 t. pepper
1 lb. crabmeat

Salt pork should be cut into very samll pieces and put inot a pot.
Add water and beef bone and simmer about 1 hour. Add remaining
ingredients except crabmeat. Cook about 20-30 minutes or until
vegetables are just tender. Pick thru the crabmeat to be sure
all shell pieces are out...then add to soup. Heat throughly
and serve. Makes 6 quarts.
