Hershey Syrup Brownies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey syrup
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts

FROSTING:
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs one at a time, beat well.  Add chocolate
syrup.  Sift dry ingredients together and add beating well.  Add vanilla and
nut meats.  Bake in a greased 9x13" pan at 350: for 50 minutes or until done.
Cool.
Frosting: Mix butter, sugar and milk; boil 3 minutes.  Make sure the sugar
dissolves.
Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla.  Stir until spreading
consistency.  Jan
