2 lb ground beef
2 slices bread
1 cup milk
3 single onion; chopped
3 tablespoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
pinch of salt
1 single lemon; juice of
10 single almonds
3 single eggs
1/4 cup stock
2 single bay leaf
Soak bread in milk. Squeeze out and retain the milk. Saute onion in butter ;
add curry powder and continue cooking. Add meat, sugar, salt, lemon juice and
almonds. Cook until meat is no longer pink. Beat eggs. Add half to meat
mixture and whisk the other half into the milk. Place meat mixture in baking
dish and smooth the top. Pour the milk mixture over and top with bay leaves.
Cook 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until set. Serve with rice and chutney.
