Dosa Avakai
1/2 kg or one medium size dosakai (cucumber)
3 Tbsps mustard powder
2 Tbsps chili powder
1 Tbsp salt or to taste
3 Tbsps sesame seed oil
Wash and wipe the dosakai dry. Cut the stem and slit it into two. Remove the
seeds and pulp. Cut the two halves into small pieces or slightly big if you
like. Mix all the ingredients with half the oil. Add the pieces and mix well
pouring the remaining oil. It is ready for use after 3 to 4 hours. It
complements well with hot rice and ghee (clarified butter).
