Texas Pepper Steak
Thick Top Serloin Steak (1 to 1 1/2 inches thick)
McCormicks Montreal Steak Seasoning (it has lots of pepper in it)
Set your oven to really hot (about 450). Heat small amount of oil or
butter in skillet. Rub seasoning over steak. Brown all sides in very
hot skillet. Transfer to pan and place in oven for 8-10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 300. Yes, that is 300 cover and bake for an hour or so
until done. Remove steak from broth, and let rest for about 10
minutes. Transfer broth to skillet, add minced garlic and reduce till
desired glaze forms. Thinly slice steak against the grain and serve
with glaze.
