| Poblano Peppers |
 |
Poblano peppers originated in Puebla, Mexico. Even the name harkens to this South of
the Border origins. Poblano translates into "pepper from Puebla." Fresh poblanos
are still most commonly grown in Mexico. Dried poblanos (anchos and mulatos) generally
come from farms in California.
This tasty pepper is most commonly served stuffed with cheeses or a meat mixture as a
chile relleno. However, it is also popular in soups and sauces.
