Debbie's Baked Beans

Here is a baked beans recipe for the crockpot that is delicious, but
different from the typical basked beans with brown sugar.  This recipe uses
ground sausage instead of bacon, and if you use all the spices as indicated,
has quite a spicy taste to it.  I've made these for potlucks and they always
go over very well.  You can reduce the quantity of each spice if you prefer.

Debbie's Baked Beans (recipe from Ellen Tippie)

1 pound ground sausage, browned
2 tsp minced onion
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Dash of garlic powder
4 cans pork & beans (15-16 oz. cans for half crock pot, 31 oz. cans for full
crock pot)*
1/2 cup ketchup
3 Tbsp yellow mustard
1/4 cup grape jelly
3-4 Tbsp Picante sauce
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper
1/2 tsp lemon juice

* For thicker results, drain canned beans before using, for saucier results,
use beans and liquid

Put all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
