Mashed Rutabagas
This is my favorite way to cook rutabagas.
Mashed Rutabagas
1 Large Rutabaga, organic if possible
1 tsp salt
Peel and dice (large pieces - 2") rutabaga. Place in saucepan, cover with cold
water. Add salt to water. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered,
until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash.
Serve just like that, with meat, poultry or a vegetarian meal. You can top it
with butter if you like, but the flavor is wonderful without, too.
