Sam's Hush Puppies

     Yield: 8 servings

   1/2 can  flour
   1/2 can  yellow corn meal
     1 tsp baking powder
   1/2 tsp salt
     1    egg
     1 can creamed corn

Mix first five ingredients together.  Add enough creamed corn to make
a firm consistency on spoon.
Dip large stainless steel spoon in hot grease to warm.  Dip into
batter and place batter in 375F. deep fat.  Repeat dipping spoon in
hot fat before placing in batter.   Repeat as necessary, but do not
crowd hush puppies in deep fat fryer.
When hush puppies raise to surface, turn over and cook until golden
brown.
